Music for a Real Good Time
Music for a Real Good Time
Live piano music every Tuesday night at the bar where locally famous people drink. Take in the sounds of a well-loved Story & Clark keyboard that has the old fashioned honky tonk sound -- the kind that's so hard to find these days. The bar's wooden, the floor's wooden, there's not a TV in sight, and the music's cooking. You'll be able to relax and cut loose and you sure won't be bored.
Dylan plays piano every other week, alternating with the talented songwriter and local favorite Sophia Landis.
The Old Oak Inn is famous for it's amazing food and for the fantastic musicians who grace its various stages. Every Wednesday night we set up in the Acorn Lounge and hold an open mic and jam session. Wingin' It Wednesday has become a lively musical tradition in Soldiers Grove ever since Dylan was invited to establish it in October 2021. All styles welcome, we always do our best to accommodate everyone and anyone.
Dylan plays host and is there to warm up the room, keep things running smoothly, and make sure everyone gets their time to play each week.
On the first Wednesday of each month his good friends, the charismatic musical duo The Guthries (Scott & Ericka) are there to host while Dylan makes the rounds at some other local jams.
An institution that's been running strong since the Tavern first opened, the open jam is a wild time and one of the best sessions in the area. Hosted by owner-proprietor Ryan Fox & the Tavern String Band (featuring co-owner Patrick Igou along with Sophia Landis & Dylan Harris), it's a haunt for the musically inclined, particularly if you have a love for old school sounds and wooden instruments. Anything can happen and you'll have to be there to know what does
Dylan co-hosts and runs the late session.
